Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Oversee all commercial and station production
• Manage part-time and freelance voice artists
• Maintain a working knowledge of  programming systems (automation, content scheduling, streaming,studios, etc)
• Order entry/traffic log – back up to Traffic Director when needed
• On-air voice tracked shift (TBD)
• Assist with station promotion execution (remotes, contest management, etc)
• Represent brand at events to partners, vendors and clients

Locally owned Midlands Media Group is seeking an effective sales professional who thrives on helping local businesses achieve their goals. This is an entry level/junior position.

Job Responsibilities:

Prospect, qualify, sell and service advertising to new businesses; build and maintain positive working relationships with existing clients; and sell additional company products and services to both new and existing clients. This position requires the individual to make face-to-face calls on current clients and new prospects. This is a commission-based position, however a base salary is provided provided through on-boarding period.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience and/or education in sales or outside sales related field.
  • Strong verbal, written, math and phone skills.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Powerpoint); experience with CRM systems.
  • Individual must have a valid state issued drivers license as well as auto insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Greater Columbia, SC area preferred.

Work Schedule:

Work schedule hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Attendance at company meetings and/or events as well as networking functions which may fall outside normal Monday through Friday schedule may also be required.
